ShaadiDesk ("ShaadiDesk", "we", "us", or "our") is a wedding planning and guest management platform available at https://shaadi.rupaiq.in. We are operated by Pradyumn Daga, India.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password (or Google account details if you sign in with Google).

2.2 Wedding & Guest Data

You provide guest names, mobile numbers, room assignments, travel itineraries, and related wedding logistics. This data is stored to power the platform features you use.

2.3 Google Contacts (optional)

If you choose to import guests via "Import from Google Contacts", we request thehttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/contacts.readonlyscope. This grants read-only access to your Google Contacts solely to let you select which contacts to add as guests. We do not store, transmit to our servers, or share your Google Contacts. The access token is used in your browser session only and is discarded when the picker is closed.

2.4 Usage Data

We may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and performance monitoring. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.

2.5 Payment Data

Premium plan payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store card numbers or full payment details on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

Provide, operate, and improve the ShaadiDesk platform
Send transactional emails (e.g. guest notifications, account alerts)
Respond to your support requests
Ensure security and prevent abuse
Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your wedding or guest data for advertising purposes.

4. Google API Usage

ShaadiDesk's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

We only request contacts data when you explicitly initiate the Google Contacts import.
Contacts data is used solely to display a picker and populate guest names/phone numbers you select.
We do not transfer contacts data to third parties or use it for any purpose other than the feature described.
We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements.

5. Data Sharing

We share your data only with:

Infrastructure providers — hosting and database services (e.g. Vercel, Neon/Postgres) under confidentiality agreements
Communication providers — email/WhatsApp services used to send guest notifications you trigger
Legal authorities — if required by law or to protect rights and safety

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and wedding data for as long as your account is active, or until you request deletion. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. We will permanently delete your data within 30 days of the request.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, and access-controlled databases. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you
Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
Deletion — request deletion of your account and data
Portability — export your guest list via the built-in export feature
Objection — object to certain processing activities

9. Cookies

ShaadiDesk uses only functional cookies and local storage necessary to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

ShaadiDesk is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of ShaadiDesk after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
